Robin Munro
As a lad from Newcastle in the U.K., Robin spent many holidays in the wild rugged coastlines of the Inner and Outer Hebrides of Scotland. He was inspired very early by a celebrated artist, a local woman from the Isle of Iona to paint the beauty that was all around him and it was soon evident that he had a gift. He went on to study at Bretton Hall in the U.K. and ran the Art department at a large secondary school.
Into his adult years Robin has continued to make his annual Mecca to the Isles of Harris, Lewis, Mull, Iona and many others to perfect his vision of the ever changing skies, swirling patterns of sand and brilliant rock colours and formations that make up the Hebrides.
His work has been showcased in several galleries throughout the Western Isles and Edinburgh, and his timeless prints can be found in gift shops and galleries throughout Scotland.
